We started the Computer Club again yesterday at EAL.
One of the things that Moozer and I had been talking about, is that it could be fun to have a sub-part of the club, where we would improve our "pentest" abilities.
To do so, we are going to read the book "The Hacker Playbook 3" (Amazone) will follow along with the examples and hands-on stuff that we get presented with. When we meet at the club, we will then to a short presentation of what we have done, interesting things we've stumbled upon and what we have learned in general.
The book recommends writing a blog while working your way through it. I've decided to do so (here on W4) even though we are still going to have the presentations at the Computer Club.
If you would like to be a part of this, you are more then welcome! We start the entire event, by reading through the first chapter (including all the introduction, etc. if you like). It contains some configurations of the "Hacking Lab" which we will be working with (I assume, haven't read the chapter yet!), as well as some introduction to some tools. As written earlier, we will then make a small presentation of what we got out of this part. Til next Computer Club.
Since the Computer Club is every second Thursday and we will be at BornHack in two weeks, we will be having the next computer club in four weeks instead (find it on meetup.com).
